UBC Geering Up presents Global Goals x STEM: Call to Ideate for all students in Grades 7 to 10.
Global Goals, also known as the Sustainable Development Goals, split into 17 different goals that aim to resolve social issues including elimination of poverty and hunger. Addressing these issues will take an interdisciplinary approach that will require politicians, activists and global citizens to act! However, scientists and engineers could also have profound impact through their inventions or discoveries. At our last event of 2023 Fall season, you will engage with one Sustainable Development Goal to understand the complexities that exist in addressing the issue. With the help of mentors, you will then have the opportunity to ideate or create a STEM-driven solution in achieving that goal. Today's imagination can be tomorrow's reality. Come join us to tap into your STEM imagination!
