The Faculty of Applied Science is pleased and proud to recognize the achievements and contributions of its engineering alumni and community through three different awards.

The Faculty of Applied Science Dean’s Medal of Distinction

The Faculty of Applied Science Dean’s Medal of Distinction was created in 2015 to mark the celebration of the University of British Columbia and Applied Science’s 100th anniversary. The medal serves to recognize individuals who have brought high honour to the Faculty and/ or who have made long standing/ significant contributions to advance its vision, mission and mandate. In 2016, this medal will be bestowed upon 100 distinguished individuals during the Faculty of Applied Science Centennial Celebration on April 14, 2016. RSVP coming soon!

Engineering Alumni Awards

Do you know an outstanding UBC Engineering alumnus who should be recognized for their contributions to the profession, the community, or society? Do you know a UBC Engineering student or alumnus who is making a world of difference? Is one of the faculty members in your department deserving of recognition? UBC Engineering Alumni Awards are bestowed in the following categories:

  • Lifetime Achievement (alumni)
  • Community Service (alumni)
  • Young Alumnus (alumni under 35 years)
  • Future Alumnus (current UBC Engineering students)
  • Emeriti Faculty (retired or emeriti)
