Old Red New Red - New Date!
During Engineering Week each January, the Faculty of Applied Science and the Engineering Undergraduate Society host a fun and sociable evening event, Old Red New Red web page, where you can network with current undergraduate engineering students. Alumni share their career experiences and words of wisdom with students, and students get to network with potential employers, learn about exciting opportunities in their fields, and show-off some of the project work they have accomplished throughout the academic year.
Regional Alumni Events
Another popular event forum within the Faculty are regional alumni get-togethers. The Dean travels out of the province to connect with you and provides those of you in high-density areas an excuse and an opportunity to find and connect with each other. Currently, Alberta, Toronto, Washington and California are some of the regular stops on the Dean's regional alumni events calendar. If you are in one of those areas, there is a good chance you have already heard about and attended one of these networking events.
As well, whether it be a province, state or international city, many regions have organized alumni chapters, where UBC grads can connect with fellow UBC grads. alumni UBC has organized various alumni networks, which we invite you to explore if you are looking for alumni in your area.
