Old Red New Red 2018

Bjarni TOld Red New Red is your opportunity to connect with fellow classmates and current students and judge the ball models. This year we welcome Dr Bjarni Tryggvason, BASc '72, to speak to us about how his time at UBC shaped his career as an astronaut. Bjarni is an Icelandic-born Canadian engineer and a former NRC/CSA astronaut. He served as a Payload Specialist on Space Shuttle mission STS-85 in 1997, a 12-day mission to study changes in the Earth’s atmosphere.

The big bash will held on Thursday, January 18, 2018, and we look forward to seeing you there! All pre-registered alumni will receive a complimentary drink ticket, so be sure to mark your calendars and we hope to see you there!
