UBC Engineering student named among top undergraduate females in Canada

Jory Wong, a third year engineering physics student, was announced as one of the Canadian Engineering Memorial Foundation (CEMF) Engineering Ambassador Award winners for 2016. CEMF chooses five women each year to represent their region as the strongest ambassadors for the profession based on their leadership, volunteerism and community involvement.

Examples of Wong’s accolades can be found in the UBC Engineering Undergraduate Viewbook, where she says of her choice to pursue engineering, “I saw social and environmental issues that needed solutions, and I realized engineering is the most action-oriented way to create positive change.”
