## Go direct

You can apply to university when you are starting your last year of high school. If you meet our admission requirements, you may be offered a spot at UBC! Take a look at our [How to apply page](https://engineering.ubc.ca/admissions/undergraduate/how-to-apply) for more information.

Wondering how to get accepted into UBC? Karolina, a first-year pre biomedical engineering student, breaks down her high school experience, her personal profile, and gives great tips and tricks for getting into UBC!

 ## Start somewhere else

UBC offers an [Engineering Transfer Program](https://engineering.ubc.ca/admissions/undergraduate/transfers/engineering-transfer-program). You’ll do your first year at one of our nine partner universities and colleges in BC and you can then apply to join us in second year if you achieve a certain GPA.
