UBC to offer Canada's first blockchain training path for grad students

In January 2020, UBC will launch the Graduate Specialization in Blockchain and Decentralized Trust Technologies: a two-year, non-degree training program that will offer existing master’s and doctoral students personalized learning in the blockchain field.

Supported by Mitacs and 15 industry partners, including flagship partner Boehringer Ingelheim (Canada) Ltd., the new graduate pathway is expected to give participating students the multidisciplinary knowledge and skills to manage blockchain projects, develop a business case for blockchain systems, and design and develop blockchain solutions and mechanisms, among other things.
