Dr. Rehan Sadiq has been appointed Provost and Vice-President Academic pro tem at UBC Okanagan.

I am thrilled to extend my congratulations to Dr. Rehan Sadiq, who has been appointed Provost and Vice-President Academic pro tem at UBC Okanagan. As the Executive Associate Dean of the School of Engineering, Rehan has made a significant impact on the ongoing success of the school. Under his leadership, the School of Engineering (SOE) has thrived, and I am confident that he will skilfully guide the important work started by UBC Okanagan’s out-going Provost Ananya Mukherjee Reed.

Dr. Sadiq’s dynamic leadership of the SOE has played an instrumental role in establishing the school as a beacon for both engineering education and research, emphasizing student experience and innovation in research.

While Dr. Sadiq takes on this important role, the Faculty of Applied Science Dean’s Office will provide additional support to Dr. Lukas Bichler (Director, pro tem) and the SOE leadership team during the transition.
