About the Team
As a dynamic and diverse engineering design team at the frontier of amateur rocketry, Thunderbird Aerospace seeks to inspire the future generation of engineers by being ambassadors of Indigenous excellence in aerospace. Sitting at the frontier of their development for liquid rocketry, Skoden is a blow-down, self-pressurizing nitrous and ethanol liquid bipropellant rocket that has an envelope of 8 inches in diameter, and 3 meters in height. Using NASA CEA, Thermodynamic Analysis, Incompressible Vicid Flow modelling, and high-fidelity FPM FEA methods, they characterize the features of their rocket to hit the target design needs.
