Pre-Biomedical Engineering Timetable Information Session (April 2025)

The Pre-Biomedical Engineering (PBME) timetable offers incoming Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) students the opportunity to follow a path that is a slight modification of the standard first year BASc program, introducing students to biomedical engineering. The timetable is designed to provide organized access to courses that are pre-requisites for the 2nd year biomedical engineering program as well as give students a solid foundation in the application of engineering in the context of biological systems.School of Biomedical Engineering (SBME) advisors will hold monthly virtual info sessions for anyone who has questions about the PBME Pathway and the SBME program.Info sessions will be held on the first Tuesday of every month, starting in November.If you have questions about this session, please contact students@sbme.ubc.ca.

High school girls* and gender non-conforming folks in grades 10-12 are invited to explore why engineering is an amazing career for women* who want to change the world, help improve the lives of others and the environment around us, and who like teamwork and problem-solving. Learn about different types of engineering, chat with current students, hear from our guest speakers and learn more about engineering at both the UBC Vancouver and UBC Okanagan campuses.*We have an inclusive view of the words "woman” and “girl,” and welcome trans, genderqueer, non-binary, two-spirit, gender-questioning folks interested in the event.

Note: This tour is open to prospective students only. If you are a current UBC Engineering student, please register for the tour on March 10, 2025. We’re excited to invite you to participate in our SBME Opening Ceremony happening on April 7th from 12:30 - 3:00 p.m. This day is open to the general public and will be an exciting event filled with student engagement, booths, demos, and lab tours of our new SBME building space.
