As one of the world’s top research universities, the University of British Columbia has created positive change at home and abroad for more than a century. Today our two major campuses—in Vancouver and the Okanagan—attract, nurture and transform more than 60,000 students from Canada and 140+ countries around the world.
More than 400 hectares in size, the stunning campus, located at the western tip of the Point Grey Peninsula, is surrounded by forest on three sides and ocean on the fourth, and is just a 30 minute bus ride to Vancouver's downtown core.
Purpose-built for the 21st century, the UBC’s Okanagan campus opened in the Okanagan Valley of Kelowna in 2005.

STUDENT DESIGN TEAMS
At UBC, we have 27 Engineering Design Teams where students volunteer their time to work collaboratively on design projects and gain hands-on experience. UBC encourages a wide range of collaboration with campus and external partners, helping them achieve their potential through adequate access to resources.
WOMEN IN ENGINEERING (WIE)
Women in Engineering (WiE) is a student organization that advocates for gender diversity and equity in engineering. WiE's aim is to provide underrepresented students with the tools and opportunities that will enable and empower them to reach their full potential.
